# Graduate Studies

MI² Lab focuses on three major research directions: ophthalmic medical imaging intelligent analysis, foundation models, and multimodal large models; eye-heart-brain medical imaging intelligent computing, multimodal large models, and medical agents; and vascular imaging analysis for intelligent diagnosis and treatment. We work on real clinical problems at the intersection of medicine and engineering, combining fundamental algorithm research with translational collaborations with clinical hospitals.

The lab is constantly looking for motivated graduate students who have solid mathematical skills and interests in computer vision and machine learning.

# Research Directions

Direction Focus
Ophthalmic medical imaging AI and foundation models Intelligent analysis, disease representation, foundation models, and multimodal large models for fundus, OCT/OCTA, and related ophthalmic imaging modalities.
Eye-heart-brain medical imaging intelligent computing and medical agents Multimodal computation across eye, heart, and brain imaging, with multimodal large models and medical agents for clinical reasoning and workflow support.
Vascular imaging analysis and intelligent diagnosis and treatment Modeling vascular structure, function, and disease-related imaging biomarkers to support intelligent diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical translation.
